Artisanal Fishing

Sport fishing is not allowed on Galapagos Islands until they can provide that this sport can be realized in a sustainable way. However, one of the possibility which is going to be more explored is something we call “pesca vivencial” or demonstration fishing. The technical fishermen of Galapagos could offer this service to the tourists.

This activity combines the traditional skills with tourism and to use the “fishing and liberation” can also help the family of the fishermen, so they feel accepted and included into tourism activities.
